URL, a TLA that matters
Eh? Let me explain. URL stands for Universal Resource Locator, in other words, an address. All websites have URLs. Google.co.uk is a URL, bbc.co.uk is a URL.
Just as a street address directs you to a place in the physical world, a URL directs you to a place on the web. All businesses have an address in the physical world where their shop or offices reside. But not all have a website address where their goods and services are presented. In fact, recent research suggests only 38% of micro businesses have a website.
Not having a website is a major handicap to any business wanting to attract a stream of new customers and expand. Most people searching for goods and services now start their search online with Google. They will show the greatest interest in businesses that they find on the first two pages of Google results. If your business doesn't have a website, then you certainly won't be on the first two pages. In fact, you won't be anywhere.
The same research indicated that cost and lack of skills were big factors in not getting a business website. But suppose a website cost no more than a "meal deal" lunch each month and needed no more skills than those needed to open an Amazon account?
That's why we created Finder.pm. We call it "The Big Website for Small Business". We offer Mini Websites (like a website, but smaller) which are part of a much bigger website. This offers many advantages:
Low cost - a Mini Website is just £3.65 per month
Easy to set up - you just fill in a form with your information
Good looking - the design is standardized so you don't pay for a designer
URL - so you can have that address on the web that can be found by Google
Finder.pm is built to be a proper business tool. Because we charge a small monthly fee, there is no advertising on your Mini Website causing confusion. Just your message. You also have control over critical elements to help you make your Mini Website more visible to search engines. There's lots of help available and you can update whenever you want to by logging into the website.
Just as a shop makes you easy to find on the high street, a Mini Website helps make you visible on the web. So get found, get on Finder.pm.
